Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has been identified as a potential target for Atletico Madrid, according to La Razon.
The Frenchman has eight months remaining on his existing deal, and he can negotiate a pre-contract with an overseas club in January.
There are also clubs interested in signing him this winter, but reports suggest that the Gunners could keep him for the campaign.
Atletico were keen on landing his signature four years ago, but they could not negotiate a deal with Lyon amid their transfer ban.
They have since been linked with the marksman on numerous occasions, but the Gunners have shown no interest in doing business.
Lacazette will have control over his future in January, and it is claimed that Atletico may look to finalise a pre-contract agreement.
Diego Simeone remains a huge admirer of the Frenchman, and the Spaniard has urged the hierarchy to push for the striker’s services.
Lacazette has a good relationship with compatriot Antoine Griezmann, and they could unite at club level for the first time next summer.
