Arsenal are trying their best to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic before the end of the month, Corriere della Sera claims.
The Gunners have earmarked Vlahovic as their prime target for the transfer window, but they have yet to make any progress over a deal.
The club are willing to meet the €60m valuation of Fiorentina, but there is plenty of work to be done to convince the player and his agent.
His representative is adamant to wait until the summer. It would require a staggering commission of €18m to change his transfer stance.
Even then, the Gunners face a tough task of convincing the striker, who is prepared to delay a decision over his future for now.
The marksman is not entirely convinced by the Gunners’ project, considering the club have been away from Champions League football.
In case they miss out on the top four this season, it could be the sixth season without playing in the competition. Vlahovic is wary of that.
Vlahovic has netted 20 goals from 24 outings for Fiorentina this term.
