Liverpool have reportedly turned down an opening bid from Bayern Munich for Sadio Mane.
The Senegal international has made the decision to leave the Reds after six seasons, and Bayern are clear favourites to sign him.
Their opening offer of £21m plus £4m was instantly snubbed by the Reds, but they are expected to make a fresh bid, as per The Times.
Mane is about to enter the final year of his contract. Liverpool are prepared to sell him, but are unlikely to lose him on the cheap.
Despite turning 30, he is in the prime of his playing career, and the Reds could hold out for at least £35m to sanction his exit.
Meanwhile, the Reds are already plotting a replacement for Mane. They have already been linked with several high-profile names.
Leeds United’s Raphinha has been a prime target of theirs, but he has apparently rejected them due to his desire to join Barcelona.
The Brazilian has already agreed personal terms with the Catalan giants, but the club need some time due to their ongoing financial issues.
