Manchester United have reportedly entered talks to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou next summer.
The centre-back has been with Dortmund since the summer of 2017, but he has made just 80 appearances across all competitions.
He has suffered multiple knee and muscle injuries in this period, but he continues to attract interest from high-profile sides.
According to Fussball Transfers, the Red Devils are hoping to negotiate a pre-contract and have already contacted his representative.
The Red Devils have not been linked with him in the past, but Ralf Rangnick tried to sign him when he was Leipzig’s sporting director in 2017.
The German tactician continues to remain a firm admirer, and he is now the driving force behind the Red Devils’ pursuit of the Frenchman.
Zagadou’s current deal expires at the end of the ongoing campaign. Dortmund have so far been unsuccessful in extending his stay.
