Manchester United have entered the race to sign Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni this summer.
The Red Devils are expected to recruit a new central defender, and have already been linked with several names.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Bastoni has now emerged as the newest target with manager Erik ten Hag an admirer.
The Nerazzurri need to make a big sale before June 30 to balance their books and they are open to parting ways with Bastoni.
However, the Italian will not be sold for anything less than €60m. United are still said to be ‘studying the right offer’ for him.
United are looking at different central defensive options. They have already been linked with Pau Torres and Jurrien Timber.
Discussions are already underway behind the scenes over transfer targets, but Ten Hag is expected to make the final decisions.
The Dutchman has been given the go-ahead to make signings of his own as he aims to get the club back to their glory days.
