Manchester United have reportedly joined Barcelona and Real Madrid in the race to sign Lucas Hernandez.
The Frenchman started the campaign with an injury, but he has been a key player for Bayern Munich over the past few months.
Despite this, he is open to a fresh challenge away from Munich and Fichajes claims that the Red Devils have entered the pursuit.
Barcelona and Madrid are long-term admirers, but Hernandez would entertain a possible move to the Premier League this summer.
Meanwhile, there are also questions over Harry Maguire‘s future amid his inconsistent displays. He could be displaced from the XI.
United were keen on landing a left-footed centre-back last summer, but changed their plans after getting to sign Raphael Varane.
Varane is regarded as a key part of the future, and Hernandez could possibly come in to partner his compatriot ahead of next season.
Hernandez’s ability to play as a left-back could be another reason behind United’s interest, given Luke Shaw has had an average campaign.
