Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana is determined to make the move to Chelsea before the transfer deadline.
The Blues have been in regular contact with the Foxes for the Frenchman, but have yet to negotiate a suitable fee.
Their latest proposal of £70m has been rejected, and they need to pay at least £80m to convince the Foxes to sell.
Amidst this, The Telegraph report that Fofana is eager to join the Blues and has already told the decision to the Foxes.
The onus is now on Chelsea to meet the transfer valuation such that they can sign the highly-rated central defender.
Fofana would be another quality acquisition for the club, and he could be a top player for them for the next decade.
A deal for Fofana would take the Blues spending spree for the summer to beyond £200m – they previously did so in 2020.
